General Escape Room Questions

An escape room is a physical adventure game where you're locked in a room with your teammates and need to solve puzzles, find clues, and escape before time runs out. It's a real-life version of the online room-escape genre. The question is: in the real world, can you escape in time?
Yes and no. Some rooms may be locked during play, but there's always an emergency key or exit button next to the door. You're free to leave any time — you won't automatically lose, but the clock keeps ticking. So if you need a bathroom break, exit the room (rather than use the corner) … but make it quick!
No. Unlike many escape rooms, we don't put staff in the room. We watch and listen from a control room via cameras, rather than getting in your way. If you get stuck, just ask out loud — we'll hear you. If we think you're stuck we'll send a hint proactively, but if you'd rather only get hints on request, just tell us before you start.
All of our private rooms accommodate up to 10 players, but a skilled team of 2 can escape any of them. Since "divide and conquer" usually works best, a larger group makes a successful escape more likely.
No. Even for groups as small as 2, every room is private.
The floor opens and drops you into a pit of alligators… or not. Once time runs out we open the door. If you'd like, we can review the room and show you what you missed — or you can hold out and try again another time.

Escape This Questions

We believe you should have fun trying to escape while being challenged just enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. Our rooms are hard enough to make you sweat, but not so hard you can't solve them. Our goal isn't unbeatable rooms — it's keeping you holding your breath until the very last minute.
Our DEFCON 1 room is easier and great for newcomers or younger players. If you already have some experience, try DEFCON without any hints.
Give The Hustle a try. It's a challenge even for experienced players — you really need to see how everything links together, and you'll get fewer hints.
We're always watching and listening through our camera system. Just ask out loud and ye shall receive.
No problem — let us know before you start and we won't say a word. Change your mind mid-game? Just shout out.
No. Players want their full wits about them. No one who appears impaired will be permitted to enter, and no drinking is allowed on the premises. There are several great dining spots nearby that serve alcohol — perfect for celebrating your victory or drowning your sorrows afterward.

Children & Escape Rooms

It depends on age. Our puzzles are designed to challenge teens and adults, so kids under 12 may find the rooms harder to navigate even with hints. Young teens and older should have a great time. Younger children are welcome as part of a family outing with adults. For supervisory and safety reasons, anyone under 14 must have at least one person present who is 18 or older.
No — we'll already have our hands full making sure you're having fun while struggling just the right amount to escape.
Yes, although you'll probably want your hands as free as possible. (Yes, this is a real question we've been asked!)

Escape Room Parties

Definitely! From surprise parties to proposals, we can make your event extra special. Our Game Masters can hide items ahead of your game — gifts, cakes, engagement rings, and more. See Private Parties for full details.
It depends on the ages. Our puzzles challenge teens and adults, so children under 12 may struggle even with hints. A group of young teens and older should have a great time. Younger children are welcome as part of a mixed-age party. Anyone under 14 must have at least one person 18 or older present.
Absolutely — just remember no alcohol is permitted on the premises. Beyond that, we'd love to host you, and we can even hide a cake, present, or engagement ring in the room. Contact us for details.

Pricing, Gift Certificates & Cancellations

$30 per person — a nice round number that includes all taxes and fees.
Absolutely! Our gift certificates make great presents for friends and foes alike. Give one to a friend and see if they can escape; give one to a foe and hope they can't.
After selecting your room, date, time, and number of players, you'll see a link under each player's info that says "Add promo or discount code." Click it and enter your code. If the link isn't present, codes may not be allowed on that date or time. Some codes apply to multiple players, but a gift-certificate code can only be used on one player — if you bought a certificate for multiple players, you should have received an individual code for each.
Full payment is due at booking. If you need to cancel, we require at least 24 hours' notice before your reserved time. With less than 24 hours' notice, we'll apply the balance to a new booking for a different date and time. There are no re-booking fees.
